Analysts TrendForce corrected the forecast, referring to the average amount of RAM memory smartphone. If earlier they believed that by the end of the year it would be 3.7 GB, now they call the value 3.2 GB. The new forecast corresponds to an increase in the average volume of smartphone memory by 33.4% compared to the value of this indicator recorded in 2016.

According to analysts, the increase in the average volume of RAM will slow down due to the increase in prices for these products.

Increase the amount of memory manufacturers encourages the desire to bypass competitors. In some flagship models, there are already configurations with 4 and 6 GB of memory, which is comparable to the memory size of mass segment notebooks.

The main type of mobile DRAM memory this year will be LPDDR4.
