It is noted that last night an attempt was made to smuggle tobacco products in the Ukrainian-Romanian section of the state border.

According to the border guards, unknown persons with pekety very suspiciously began to behave. On this occasion, employees of strict order decided to conduct a more detailed examination of strangers. However, to avoid responsibility, the offenders resorted to escape.

In this regard, law enforcement officers had to carry out warning shots up AKC-74. As a result of operational actions, 2 Ukrainian citizens and 12 boxes of tobacco products were detained by border guards.

Currently, the detainees and detected almost 6,000 packets of cigarettes were taken to the border guard unit.
