Antibiotics, by definition, are designed to fight microbes. Thanks to their invention, mankind has managed to completely defeat a lot of deadly diseases, however, as is known, every medal has a downside. The fact is that antibiotics, as a rule, do not distinguish between harmful and beneficial bacteria and destroy both the first and second.

A new study conducted by a group of British scientists found that private or excessive use of antibiotics can lead to an irreversible imbalance of the intestinal flora in your body, which can in turn cause serious and sometimes incurable diseases.

The list of diseases that can be indirectly provoked by the influence of antibiotics, scientists include obesity, type 1 diabetes, inflammatory processes in the intestine, asthma and various types of allergic reactions. Moreover, each new pill of antibiotics can literally irreversibly damage the state of the microbial flora in the intestine - after its administration, the amount and composition of bacteria in your digestive system may no longer return to the previous level. A particular danger is the use of antibiotics for children and pregnant women. In the first case, a young organism can simply not cope with such a strong effect of medicines - the consequences can be the most fatal.

For pregnant women, taking antibiotics is fraught with the fact that their child may later be born with a low level of intestinal flora in the body, which is fraught with both serious problems with digestion and inadequate protection of the body by the immune system. Here we should mention another problem - according to scientists at the modern level of human consumption of antibiotics, subsequent generations can be born with a low level of intestinal microflora. And what is surprising is that people get antibiotics for the most part not by taking medication during colds, but by eating meat. The thing is that they are added to feed animals to prevent diseases, and they remain in his body until his death, and then get to us on the table.
