Boyko assured the front-line soldiers that the Opposition bloc would not allow the authorities to reconsider social programs to support veterans and other socially unprotected strata of the population.
"There are attempts to revise the laws that guarantee the support of veterans, but we will not allow this. Opposition block will not allow to withdraw from them privileges. Veterans should live in fair conditions, "Boyko said..
"These people endured the terrible burdens of war, restored our country. They do not have much left, only 61 thousand veterans across the country. We must support each of them, "the leader of the political force.
"Today veterans from all over the country gathered in Kiev to lay flowers to the Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This became possible thanks to the support of the public movement "Women for Peace" and a people's deputy from the Opposition Bloc of Natalia Royal.
