When downloading the Chrome browser on a Windows computer, users can choose between 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the application. If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, but for some reason you are using 32-bit Chrome, then soon you will not have such an opportunity. Google intends to automatically translate users to a 64-bit version of its own browser. It is important to note that this applies only to users of the 64-bit version of Windows, whose computers meet a number of requirements.

Computers with a 64-bit version of Windows and at least 4 GB of RAM will be automatically transferred to a 64-bit version of Chrome. Google explains this step by increasing stability, productivity and security. The transition will be performed automatically if you have Chrome 58 or a newer version.

32-bit version of Chrome will still be available for download from the official site.
