Recently, a comprehensive study was conducted in the United States, whose authors sought to find out exactly how regular power and aerobic training and physical fitness would affect the development of the disease. Subjects spent 9 months spending 140 minutes each week doing sports. Half of the time the representatives of the control group were dedicated to aerobic exercise - walking or swimming, and another 70 minutes they spent in the gym, gaining muscle mass. As a result, it was found that the hemoglobin level in the control group dropped significantly - which led to the conclusion that the muscles are a kind of sponge absorbing sugar and taking it from our blood.

And the analysis of a number of similar studies conducted earlier, has allowed scientists to also come to the conclusion that the maximum effect is provided by combining aerobic exercises and power loads - that is, the complex should include an exercise for the development of endurance and strength. If they go separately, the effect will be much smaller - researchers are convinced. At the optimal level of physical activity a person has all the chances to learn completely, to control the sugar level in his blood, and thereby take under the control and development of the disease as a whole. At the same time, a diabetic who pays due attention to physical stress also insures himself against many other problems.

As is known, diabetics have a very high risk of developing a variety of other diseases, which in this case will act as concomitant. In particular, we are talking about heart attacks and strokes. So - the researchers found that if a person suffering from diabetes, will be engaged in accordance with the recommendations of specialists for 140 minutes a week, he will be able to reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks by more than 20%, that is, to the normal level. At the same time, scientists warn - it is also not worth overworking - too active physical exercises can in this case give an extremely unpredictable negative effect.
