Company Ilona Mask SpaceX plans to launch the first satellite to distribute the Internet, which will be part of a large network of satellites, in 2019, reports The Verge.

The entire network of satellites will begin work in 2024. According to Patricia Cooper, SpaceX vice president of state affairs, the company will begin testing satellite prototypes this year, and a test launch will take place in early 2018. If the prototype is successfully launched, the first of the network satellites will be launched in 2019.

To deliver satellites to near-Earth orbit SpaceX will use Falcon 9 missiles.

Earlier it was reported that when testing a SpaceX rocket in Florida during the test launch on September 1, an explosion occurred, followed by several more.

SpaceX several times managed to land the first stage of the Falcon 9 on a floating platform in the ocean and twice landed at the cosmodrome. The company was founded in 2002 by the former owner of PayPal electronic payment system Ilon Mask. She is a private developer of the carrier rocket series and commercial operator of space systems.
