The Samara Aviakor plant has completed the production of the regional An-140 turboprop aircraft due to the severance of cooperative ties with the aircraft developer - the Ukrainian state enterprise Antonov. This is reported by the TCC.

The main part of suppliers of components for the production of An-140 is in Ukraine. Having finished the program of release, "Aviakor" will continue to perform maintenance and repair.

One of the reasons for the suspension of the project was the lack of cooperation with the developer of the An-140-100 aircraft - the Antonov state enterprise in terms of making design changes and upgrading the An-140 aircraft, as well as replacing suppliers of components.

At the same time Aviakor notes that the An-140-100 is the only regional aircraft in Russia intended to replace the most massive aircraft of the times of the USSR - An-24.
