The state enterprise NNEGC "Energoatom" announced a tender for the construction of the Centralized Storage of spent nuclear fuel in Ukraine (TSNF), according to data in the public procurement system ProZorro.

Expected value of ordered works - 939 million UAH including VAT. The deadline for submission of tender documents is June 6, 2017..

The announcement states that the criterion for selecting the winner will be exclusively the price factor. At the same time, the minimal step of the price reduction at the auctions is defined in 1%. The amount of tender security is 4.5 million UAH.

It is also stated that the object should be built within 2 years from the date of the contract.

Recall, in 2005. Energoatom signed an agreement on the construction of the ISFSF with Holtec International. Supplementary agreement concluded in 2015. , Provides that the design and construction of the storage facility will be carried out by Energoatom, and Holtec will supply special equipment for storage of spent nuclear fuel and its transportation.

NNEGC "Energoatom" exports most of the spent nuclear fuel to Russia, the construction of its own ISFSF will reduce costs and dependence on the Russian Federation.
