The decision of the Kramatorsky Court to confiscate the money surrounding the ex-President Viktor Yanukovych gives grounds to Ukraine to apply to Latvia for the return of 50 million euros, said Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko.

As it was reported, on September 13, the Latvian edition of "LSM" with reference to the investigation of the "De facto" program reported that the Latvian side collected EUR 50 million of former Ukrainian high-ranking officials in the budget EUR, arrested as part of the fight against money laundering.

The publication reminds that in autumn of 2014, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Vitaly Yarema announced that $ 49.3 million had been seized from the former vice-premier of Ukraine Sergei Arbizov in the banks of Latvia, and $ 32 million was arrested in the accounts of the entrepreneur's company and the policy of Yuri Ivanyuschenko in Latvian banks and CHF 72 million.
