SBU detained in Odessa a group of alleged terrorists and provocateurs

The operational staff of the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Alpha division, detained in Odessa a group of people suspected of preparing terrorist acts, sabotage and provocation, the press service of the department.

It is known that all detainees are locals. SBU officials note that all suspicions are justified.

At present, operative investigative actions are being carried out.

"Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine are taking measures in Odessa to prevent terrorist manifestations in the first decade of May. Law enforcement agencies of the Odessa region are working in full cooperation and will not allow destabilizing the situation in the region, "the SBU press service recalled..

Earlier in the SBU reported that in the first days of May provocative pro-Russian actions are not excluded also in the Kharkov, Kherson and Nikolayev regions.

Recall, on May 2, 2014 in Odessa, there were large mass clashes involving supporters of Ukraine's unity and pro-Russian activists. During the riots, 48 ??people were killed and more than 200. Most died in the House of Trade Unions during a fire.
