Vladimir Putin signed a law on the phased transfer of state employees to maps "Mir"

On the official website of legal information on Monday, May 1, a document was published, from which it follows that the law on the phased transition of budget employees and pensioners to Russian payment cards Mir was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, informs PRIME.

It is reported that the new law obliges credit organizations to ensure acceptance of instruments of the national payment system, that is, "Mir" cards, in all their devices intended for payment using payment cards, including ATMs before July 1, 2017.

It is noted that starting from May 1, when employees of budget organizations apply for the opening of a new personal account that uses payment cards to receive cash payments (wages), credit organizations will be required to issue a plastic card "Mir".

The document also states that all state employees should be transferred to "Mir" payment cards before July 1 of the next 2018. It is specified that pensioners will be able to get Mir cards instead of previously issued cards, which are not national payment instruments, after the expiration of their validity period, however, the time limit is set for July 1, 2020.

In addition, small businesses that have an annual turnover of more than 40 million rubles are required to purchase terminals to enable payment for goods, services and works using the Mir payment card, before October 1, 2017.
