Eminem sues the ruling New Zealand party for his song

In New Zealand, a lawsuit began on the suit of the American rapper Eminem to the ruling National Party. The musician accuses her of illegally using the song Lose Yourself. In the party they say that they used not a song, but a track similar to it from the library of audio files.

The process takes place at the Supreme Court of New Zealand in Wellington. The Court will determine whether the music used in the advertising of the National Party is sufficiently similar to the original Eminem track.

Protection of the publishing group Eight Mile Style, which represents the interests of Eminem, in turn, declare that the "cult" song of the rapper, which is considered a "precious stone" in the artist's repertoire.

If the court recognizes that the composition used by the party reproduces the rapper's hit, then the party is found guilty of copyright infringement.
