In the Dnieper during the May Day demonstration, clashes between representatives of trade unions and a column of demonstrators with the flags of the "Socialist Party of Ukraine" were noted, reports Depo. Dnieper.

As journalists of the newspaper reported, representatives of trade unions tried to give leaflets to supporters of socialists who passed along the central avenue of the city.

Workers of the Dnieper on the square near the city council listened to the performance of one of the organizers of the rally, who spoke in a loudspeaker. At the same time, along the avenue, there was a column of demonstrators with flags and balloons with SPU symbols. Demonstrators in the square tried to give them leaflets, but men of sports appearance banned it. A brawl began, which the police quickly dispersed.

The column of the "Socialists" reached the Heroes Square of the Maidan, after which the organizers of the march announced the need to take the flags. After that, the demonstrators dispersed.

In the morning, from 10:00 to 11:00, police "waves" blocked the central avenue of the Dnieper because of the passage of demonstrators. At the same time, the "May Day of Soviet Officers" in the square near the Opera and Ballet Theater in the Dnieper was held in the dense surroundings of the police.

For the period of the May holidays the police of the region were transferred to the enhanced mode of service. The center of the Dnieper is patrolled by a cavalry platoon.

Earlier in the Security Service reported that in early May, provocative pro-Russian actions are not ruled out in Kharkov, Kherson and Nikolayev regions.

In Nikolaev, in connection with the threat of terrorist attacks, the mayor's office banned the holding of any mass events on May 1 and 2.

During the May holidays, the Odessa police moved to a strengthened mode of operation. On the night of Monday, more than two thousand law enforcers went on patrolling the city.
