The Parliament of Tajikistan on November 16 last year approved the amendments proposed by the government to the law "On Public Holidays", according to which May 1 continues to be on the list of holidays, but not a non-working day, the proposal was then passed by the deputies without discussion. On the same day, the deputies decided that henceforth every January 10 in Tajikistan will be a professional holiday of the staff of the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption. Officially in Tajikistan there are 82 official holidays, 9 of which are recognized as non-working days. Including January 1 - New Year, March 8 - Mother's Day, March 21-24 - International Navruz Day, May 9 - Victory Day, June 27 - National Unity Day, September 9 - State Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, November 6 - Day Of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan. In addition, non-working days are Ramazon Day, as well as the Day of the Kurbon Festival - the dates of which are annually established by the authorized state body of the sphere of religion.
