Since 2015, the law "On the condemnation of the communist and national-socialist (nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols". On May 8, Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation as a sign of solidarity with European countries, which in turn celebrate the surrender of Nazi Germany.
