At the General Meeting of Participants, the UPL approved a decision on the format and plan-calendar for the 2017/18 season championship, the official website of the league. The Directorate of the UPL sent out a questionnaire to all clubs with proposals regarding the format. The majority supported the following form of the rally:.

- In the next season, 12 clubs will remain in the ULP;.

- the draw of the championship will be held in two stages: at the first stage 22 rounds will be played, at the second stage the teams will be divided into two sixes and in each will be played 10 rounds;.

- The team that took the 12th place in the ULL championship, directly flies to the First League, the teams that took 10th and 11th places will play in the two-legged playoffs with the second and third teams of the First League;.

Soon the format and schedule of the ULP championship season 2017/18 will be sent to the FFU Executive Committee for approval.
