The Ukrainian side is outraged by the actions against the monument to the UIA soldiers in the village of Grushovici near Peremishl.

In the comments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, published on the website of the department, it is stated that the dismantling of the monument is "a frank provocation on the eve of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Wisla criminal act - apparently with the aim of diverting attention from this notorious date".

It is noted that the common interest of the Ukrainian and Polish sides is a calm and comprehensive settlement of this situation within the legal framework.

"We appeal to the Polish side for official explanations and agree on further steps regarding the legalization of all burial sites, both in Poland and in Poland, in order to provide them with proper custody at the state level in accordance with the bilateral agreement on the preservation of places of memory from 1994 Year, "the commentary says.

The Foreign Ministry was also informed about the holding of bilateral consultations in Warsaw with the participation of the leadership of the State Interdepartmental Commission for the perpetuation of the memory of ATU participants, victims of war and political repressions, which is responsible for implementing this agreement.
