In the federal parliament of Canada registered a petition calling on the government to expand sanctions against the Russian Federation.

This is reported by "Ukrinform".

The initiators of the petition suggest people's representatives pay attention to "systematic violations of human rights by the Russian government" and "the propaganda war that Russia is waging against NATO".

The corresponding petition has already received the support of a deputy from the Tom Kmitz Conservative Party.

In the event that such an initiative collects the necessary number of signatures by August 16, it can be submitted for discussion in the parliament.

As the Observer reported, the European Union refuses to abolish or weaken the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation until the Kremlin begins to comply with the terms of the Minsk treaty.
