Fears of citizens of Georgia associated with the conditions for entry into the EU countries on the conditions of visa-free regime, were in vain.

This was told by Georgians Vitaly Safarov, writes "Radio Liberty".

He flew from Tbilisi to Prague under the new rules (the visa-free regime for Georgia earned at the end of March) and was surprised by the simplicity of suppressing the border.

After the Czech Republic, he went to Kiev. Safarov said that the Ukrainian customs took much more time than the Schengen.

"I myself did not think that it would be so easy and there would be no questions on the border. It all depends, apparently, on the country. We were not even asked: "Where are you going, why?". We were stamped for 2-3 minutes. They only ask for insurance. Insurance is obligatory. Although on our border, when we flew, we were told that there was still an extract from the bank. As I knew, the minimum we need is 50 euros per person per day. But we were not asked anything. Directly hit the stamp and let in, although we waited for a question, "Safarov said..

In Georgia there were also fears that people will go to work illegally in the EU countries. However, now it is even more difficult to do than before, Safarov explained.. After 90 days, as a person was marked on the border, his own country will start to look for him to bring back, he says..

Visa-free regime does not provide for travel for work or study abroad. As is known, the first condition for crossing the borders of 30 countries in which visa-free travel will operate is a biometric passport, the second condition is that for these six months in these countries you can stay no more than three months.

"As for the necessary documents, there are stories, tales, that you could get a visa before and be sure of crossing the border, now you have to carry a bunch of documents that will be asked by border guards at the entrance. I want to emphasize: no additional documents, except those that the border guard could ask a person who had a visa in the passport, no one will ask, "said First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vadim Pristaiko.

If someone wants to work, study or stay in the EU country for more than 90 days, you need to get a visa at the embassy of that country.

The issuance of biometric documents began slightly more than 2 years ago. To date, 3 million 240 thousand 705 Ukrainians have received such passports. Every day from 10 to 12 thousand Ukrainians draw up and receive overseas documents.

You can register a biometric passport in three structures: the migration service units, the Passport Service branches (DP "Document") and the Administrative Services Centers (not all, now in 18 centers in large cities).

The cost of issuing a biometric passport for 20 working days - 557 hryvnia, 7 working days - 810 hryvnia. To do this, you need a passport of a citizen of Ukraine, for children - a birth certificate and the relevant documents of one of the parents, the tax identification code. The photo is made by the place of decoration. Children under 12 years of age receive biometric documents without fingerprints.

The migration service explains that the state enterprise "Document" takes more money for its services for an enhanced service. However, this intermediary remains a state.

Those who now have a valid Schengen visa can use it for the period that it specifies. Old passports are also valid for the period for which they are issued, and are not subject to mandatory replacement.

As reported by the "Observer", the European Parliament approved the visa-free regime for Ukraine.
