Apparently, the US authorities demanded specialists able to act quickly, competently and most importantly - tough. Force, and especially - army key posts, occupy the natives of the Marine Corps and similar strike forces. Since ancient times it has been noticed that the nature of future actions can be monitored by the quality of personnel at some control points or centers of power. Now this staff is selected from those who are used to acting.
In the depths of American army blogs, we can already note a fairly significant revival, and often, when discussing possible candidates for a key post, the military leaves aside the names, which are too clearly included in the concept of "hawk". During the 8 years of Obama's presidency, the military are accustomed to getting in the hands and being in deterrence and reduction mode, and therefore it is difficult for them to believe that the leadership that perfectly fitted into the "peaceful policy" of the previous president will come with just the opposite.
But it seems that the appointments are not carried out from the list that the military itself was referred to as "not real", but from another, which nobody even mentioned. Many military just can not believe how much everything has changed. And almost all of them say that a critical mass of military leadership has already been recruited, which will lead the armed forces out of the state of a coma and there are big changes in everything.

It seems that it is precisely in the direction of clearing Trump from Russian mud that the military and security services are working. It is they who shape the foreign policy as a whole and certain activities aimed at driving the frenzied dog into a booth. McMaster's appointment to this important post is a further confirmation of this.
In this connection, two indicative moments. Commenting on the Syrian crisis with CW or the Korean crisis with nuclear weapons, the White House speaker stressed both times that the president instructed relevant departments to develop options for responding to the situation. What was the reaction on Syria - we have already seen, in Korea - see. But what is important here is who is building these very options. It seems that the names of McMaster, Mettis and some other US generals will figure in the future, when developing such options.
