Most of our compatriots received citizenship in Germany, Portugal and Poland.

In 2015, about 840 thousand. A person has acquired the citizenship of one of the member states of the European Union. This is evidenced by the data of Eurostat.

The main recipients of European citizenship in 2015 were Moroccan citizens (86,100 people, of whom 88% were citizens of Italy, Spain or France).

Albania citizens (48,400, 96% of Italian or Greek citizenship), Turkey (35,000, 56% received German citizenship), India (31,000, almost 60% received British citizenship), Romania (28,400, half Held Italian citizenship), Pakistan (26,300, half received British citizenship) and Algeria (22,500, three-quarters now have French citizenship).

Ukrainians occupy the eighth place in the list - 19,142 approved applications for citizenship. Most Ukrainians received citizenship in Germany (4917), Portugal (2895) and Poland (1957).
