The police closed the criminal proceedings on the death of the former chairman of the State Property Fund Valentina Semenyuk-Samsonenko. This Ukrainian News was informed by the speaker of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kiev region Nikolai Zhukovich.

According to him, the criminal proceedings were closed in April due to the absence of corpus delicti.

Zhukovich also said that the investigators conducted an investigation and did not identify anyone who could commit this crime. Thus, law enforcers determined that the cause of Semenyuk-Samsonenko's death was suicide.

Recall, the ex-head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Valentina Semenyuk-Samsonenko was found dead in her own house in the village of Chaika in the Kiev region on August 27, 2014. Arriving at the scene of the incident, law enforcers found that the death occurred as a result of a wound in the head. Near the body was found a gun.

Law enforcers investigated two versions of the death of an official - murder and suicide.
