Latvia received from Britain 47 combat reconnaissance tracked vehicles

The National Armed Forces (NAF) have received from Britain already 47 combat reconnaissance tracked vehicles, according to the press department of the Ministry of Defense of Latvia.

The project of mechanization of the infantry brigade of land forces is divided into several stages, and now the first. In general, it is planned to buy 123 units of armored vehicles. Before delivery from the UK the equipment is undergoing major overhaul and modernization, and it is planned to receive it in the period from 2016 to 2018.

The total cost of the project for ten years, including the overhaul of 123 platforms, spare parts, training of Latvian specialists, infrastructure and modern equipment, will amount to 249.5 million euros.
