In January 2017. Export of agricultural products from Ukraine amounted to $ 1.36 billion, which was a record indicator for the last four years. This is stated in a message on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

It is noted that in comparison with January 2016. Export of agricultural products increased by 53.7%, with growth observed for all groups of goods.

At the same time, in the absolute values, traditionally, the majority of products supplied to the foreign markets were plant products - by $ 735.7 million, which is 66.6% more than in the previous period. In particular, grain exports were exported - by $ 565.4 million (an increase of 166.4% compared to January 2016.

Increased exports to other groups of agricultural products. Fats and oils were sold for $ 371 million (an increase of 31.1%), finished food products sold for $ 204.5 million (an increase of 61.8%), animals and animal products - by $ 43.8 million ( Growth of 43.2%).

In general, the share of agrarian products in the national export reached a record 44.8%.

Let's remind that the export of Ukrainian agrarian products to the EU in 2016 increased by $ 68.2 million. Last year, the EU member-countries delivered agro-industrial products for a total of $ 4.12 billion, which is 26.6% of the country's total agricultural exports.

It was also reported that in 2017, the production of wheat in Ukraine will be 25 million tons, which is 4% below the level of 2016.

Recall that, according to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Ukraine was the second in the world for wheat productivity in 2015-2016 marketing year.

Earlier it was also reported that in 2016 the production of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 66 million tons, which was a record in the history of Ukraine and 5.9 million tons more than in 2015.
