Google is required to pay a fine in the amount of 438,067,400 Russian rubles ($ 6.75 million) for abuse of a dominant position in the Russian market. The corresponding decision was made today by the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, which considered the complaint "Yandex", filed in February last year.

The FAS found that Google actually provides manufacturers of mobile devices to store presets in the Google Play if they necessarily preinstalled Google applications, as well as its search engine placed on the priority positions on the main page of the smartphone. "In addition, Google steps led to a ban on certain preset applications of other developers," - says the official website of the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

Fine and determination to help the development of competition in the software market in Russia, which in the end will go into the hands of consumers. At least, so say local officials.
