Deputy Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Catherine Rozhkova reported that banks with Russian capital are negotiating for sale.

"We know for sure that all banks with state-owned Russian capital, which are operating in Ukraine today, are negotiating a potential sale," Rozhkova said on the Inter TV channel on Sunday evening, March 19.

According to the deputy head of the National Bank, the regulator considers the sale to be an optimal way for banks with Russian capital to leave the Ukrainian financial market, since "in today's conditions, unfortunately, it is impossible to speak about any further development of these banks on the territory of Ukraine".

At the same time, Rozhkova assured that the possible sale of banks should not affect their customers, stressing that all banks that are under the sanctions are liquid and can fulfill all obligations to customers.
