Today, 11 April, the National Bank of Ukraine introduces the updated 500 UAH banknote into circulation. sample 2015 on an enhanced security system.

According to the NBU's press service, the size of the updated banknotes 500 UAH have not changed. The color scheme remained almost unchanged. All changes concerned the design and security features. For example, the portrait of Gregory Frying shifted to the center of the front of the banknote.

On banknotes introduced new security features for visual inspection with optical-variable effects that are checked when you change the angle of the banknote. Among them:

the "window" (partially entered in the paper thickness) protective tape with a strong kinematic effect (there is a change of direction of motion of the background image) and SPARK element - an image, in some areas where there is a gradual transition from one color to another.

The new banknotes will replace worn and damaged 500-hryvnia banknotes 2006 sample.

Work on updating the nominal number of sample banknotes 2003- 2007. It began in 2012 as part of a program to improve the organization of cash circulation in Ukraine for 2013-2018 years.
